As of DesignTime revision 2081 and RunTime revision 807 the scanner functionality has been expanded in MVC applications. When a user adds a new controller in a webpage they can select a Native Scan option or a Native Signature/Notepad option. The web option is the default option and is for controllers not implementing the scanner functionality. When a users is tying the controller to a control event you will select the controller type and tie it to a controller of that type.
