Running Batch Job From Canvas - Fake Logout

In running a batch job from the canvas I was looking for the logs to populate on the left panel
When I ran it first it showed that it was working on it but after a while the spinning wheel would go away and it would not show logs in the left panel like it had in the past. This made me think the batch job didn't run. But if I click into the canvas, it shows that I'm not logged in I had another tab open for the IDE. It was open for the batch job page. So I refreshed that and it has the login screen with the url still saying BatchJobs (like it does when your logged out Chrome was not auto filling my userid because I dont normally login from the BatchJobs page. So I change the url to be Page/Login so it can do that.
But when that loads, I am logged in again So I wasnt logged out originally, it just looked like I was.
I then go to the "Read/Update Database Records" page and query the table that the batch job was supposed to populate with records. It has all the records, so the batch job really did run. It just didnt make any logs in the left panel output tab or in the log tab at the top
