Classic SetTerminateActions message not showing from widget

In a 5.1 classic app, I am using a SetTerminateActions service in a button in a widget embedded on a webpage to show a pop up message on click. However, it is not showing the popup message and the screen just flickers. It also shows a JS error in dev tools.
