New workflow Switch issues

The new switch service in workflows caused a couple of issues for an existing workflow. The first issue is that the switch is duplicated each time the Complete Event is opened. This could be because there are no actions defined for this status:
The second issue is this status which generated the switch service the first time the canvas was loaded, but on reloading a second time it caused an error to occur:
