There has to be a better way to format a field as a currency than the current process which involves manipulating the XSLT. I know JDE stores in a unique way but that hasn't changed in ages. If a field is coming from JDE and is a currency, the developer should be able to check the currency type (USD, CAD, EURO, etc) and have the field format itself with currency symbol and proper comma and decimal placement.

There is now a Data Conversion workshop with a service called To Currency to set the value to a currency.
