Repeated Error messages

I recently found out that If you have fields that aren't required but have a validators on them(in my case these fields have IsDate Validators), then whenever a controller that calls that field is fired, a new instance of the error message appears below the field. This only occurs when the fields are blank and the error message is not currently visible
