Re: IDE Logs page
This is intentional as we do not want to be saving IDE logs when not needed. If you need IDE logs you have to turn it on then reperform the action.

Re: IDE Logs page
Ah I see, I didn't realize that checking that box turns it on. So if I just closed that screen now, it is still logging?
What level does it turn it on for - tenant, app?
I think it should be a button with a pop up saying something like
"Turning on IDE logs is intended for extra troubleshooting into specific IDE issues. This could impact performance and available log space, so it should only be turned on temporarily. Do you wish to do this?"

Yes checking that box turns it on and it will stay on even if you close that screen. It turns it on only for that specific app. I created task #10772 to add the message.

Re: IDE Logs page
I talked about this with Justin. Need to check that we still want the IDE logs to be off by default.
It would be nice to have them on. Right now if something fails in the IDE or we want to see what happened in the logs, we go to the IDE logs, turn them on, then either make it happen again or hope it happens again so we can capture logs.
Developers would do this to turn them on, but would never turn them off. But Justin was saying they are by default turned off every week with the latest revision. So that handles it, but may be unintuitive to developers who turned it on to track something.
This needs more discussion.
