ECC Load Balance and Backup Server Revision

Unread post by JustinVanRegenmorter »

As of DesignTime Revision 2222, RunTime Revision 923, and ECC Revision 100 ECC Load Balancing and Backup Server have been implemented into EASYProcess. This feature allows users to add multiple backup servers for ECC instances to reduce downtime.

To add a new ECC instance add a new Client Id and if the ECC instance will be on a new server make sure to add the ECC Server Manager to that new server. The rest of the setup is the same as before. That can be viewed in the "ECC Installation" document in the Gallery.

Note: When reactivating an ECC instance it may be out of date and so best practice would be to start with a new ECC instance. New ECC instances will be fully upgraded so it is best to fully upgrade all your current ECC instance when adding a new client id.

Here is some additional information for this revision:
  • ECC now also incorporates a load balancing system to prevent a websocket from receiving two ECC requests in a row.
  • When upgrading ECC it will upgrade all ECC instances to keep them in sync.
  • ECC client id's can be deactivated and reactivated when needed.
  • The "Ping First Available" button will return the connection info for the first ECC instance that responds to the ping.
