ECC Test Scenarios

I'm trying to simulate different ECC scenarios to test some connection verification logic, but I'm not sure how to accomplish that. I want to catch different ECC issues and do things like logging when slowdowns happen or skipping JDE queries if ECC is down or not responding, but I'm not sure how to test my logic against these example scenarios:

• ECC connection is down entirely
• ECC connection is up but slow (eventually returns but takes a while)
• ECC connection is up but unresponsive (never returns)

I'm also open to suggestions for any other scenarios I may have missed and should also test against.
